Summary
Not every Xerxian died in Father's circle.
Most of them did. The vast majority was gone. However, it's not so simple to wipe out an entire population.
The living Xerxians fled to Ishval, where the two cultures melted into each other over 400 years. There's no longer any functional distinction between them. Van Hohenheim still starts a family with Trisha Elric, and his eldest son still looks almost exactly like him (for better or for worse).
Edward Elric has to navigate a country of people who hate him as he tries to fix Al's body. He's smart enough to not attempt human transmutation again, but if you have the soul and the corpse, there has to be a solution, right?
He's going to get his brother all the way back. Even if he has to work for the same military that tried to kill him.

Summary
The gas revved. Her hands shook on the wheel. She couldn't look forward without seeing Sarah's face, the hope in her eyes, the way she'd looked with her skull bashed in, the blood and gore of the brick, her hand doing it—
Fuck. She wanted to puke.
If this worked, Nikki still might kill herself.
An exploration of how Nikki might be able to move on with her life, and what it might take to do so.
