Summary
Maybe what you need is to go on a date with someone else. Like a rebound," suggested Mint out of nowhere as Ichigo walked passed her table.
"W-what!?" Ichigo stammered while nearly dropping the dirty plates she was carrying. She had been deep in her thoughts before Mint cut in with that.
Or
Ichigo decides to start a rebound relationship with Kish. It goes as well as anyone would expect it too.
Meanwhile a new enemy appears in town that will test Tokyo Mew Mew in new ways.

Summary
Not every Xerxian died in Father's circle.
Most of them did. The vast majority was gone. However, it's not so simple to wipe out an entire population.
The living Xerxians fled to Ishval, where the two cultures melted into each other over 400 years. There's no longer any functional distinction between them. Van Hohenheim still starts a family with Trisha Elric, and his eldest son still looks almost exactly like him (for better or for worse).
Edward Elric has to navigate a country of people who hate him as he tries to fix Al's body. He's smart enough to not attempt human transmutation again, but if you have the soul and the corpse, there has to be a solution, right?
He's going to get his brother all the way back. Even if he has to work for the same military that tried to kill him.
