Summary
Erwin recognises him as soon as he sets eyes on him in that library.
He's got the same cool haircut, petite build, and cherubic face, unperturbed by both puberty and the world around him. The same slate grey eyes, currently narrowed in concentration at a culinary textbook.
It was a decade ago Erwin last saw that boy.
The spiker did things Erwin hadn't even seen other players do before. He'd use the opposing blockers to his advantage, making them touch the ball out of court, or cross the net, or come close enough for him to feint the ball right over their heads.
That boy was playing chess with his body and his mind, Erwin realised.
He's the reason Erwin loves volleyball to this day. So he thinks it is a shame that Levi Ackerman sits in front of him, entirely uninterested in joining their university's team, seeming less passionate about the sport than Erwin was before meeting him.

Summary
Hange's lucky they're bedridden right now, or Levi would have throttled them already, he thinks, diving onto the floor for the umpteenth time.
It's Levi's first official volleyball match since he was a child, and instead of his usual position, he has to fill in for the libero after they injure themselves during their recovery from surgery. Can he pull it off, or will he fumble around on the court with teammates he's not used to navigating around and lose the tournament for everyone - for Hange - before it's even started?

Summary
Yoshiki thinks about his first two years of high school. They had been, up until that point, the worst years of his life.
He doesn't know what it was about Shinozaki Ayumi, but he listened to her the day that he was ready to give up. Back then, he was scraping by on rent if he limited his meals to one or two a day, barely making the required attendance rates, putting just enough effort into his job that it wasn't worth the hassle of firing him. And he was determined to do it terribly, terribly alone.
He hadn't expected to walk in late to classroom 2-9 on his first day of 11th grade with Shinozaki's desk one up and to the right of his own. The vibrant, childlike personalities some of his classmates possessed were overwhelming, yet he found himself being roped into taking walks around the courtyard, eating lunch with others, hanging back in the classroom after school had finished for the day. Feeling young again.
These days, Yoshiki sits by the one window of his apartment, staring blankly at the cars passing by, and taking drags of cigarettes that he once made a good effort to cut back on. Knowing this will forever be the worst year of his life, and feeling terribly, terribly, alone.

Summary
Ouma Kokichi has been found guilty.
He was fully intending on making himself the victim. Kokichi had stumbled down to his knees to force the antidote down Momota's throat. Before he could, though, the Ultimate Astronaut had hacked up so much blood that it became apparent that assuming he would survive the trial long enough to prove Monokuma wrong was too much of a risk.
So, he'd taken the antidote himself, and he'd killed Momota with his own two hands, and he'd hated it, hated it, hated it, swore he would never do such a thing to himself, to DICE, and suddenly he was here with the blood of three separate people on his hands and it was horrifying-
Okay, so maybe a lot of things hadn't gone in his favour from the very beginning of the game. It had been obvious for many days now that the mastermind is actively trying to get rid of him. But this? This sequence of events had turned out entirely illogical.

What a colossal waste of time.
His head hurts, and it doesn't matter one bit.

She tells herself it doesn't matter, because everything about her that others see is a lie anyway.
