I found the concept of belief literally giving life to a spirit absolutely fascinating. Malu’s tragic past and her transformation from a young Air Nomad into the Ghost Witch of the Mountain were particularly moving. I also loved how you explored her struggle with her lost human identity and the wishes she never got to fulfil. The decision to separate her human and spiritual halves was such an unexpected twist, and ending with the appearance of the young girl and the wooden mask made me really curious about what happens next! Also, I got an idea inspired by your story that I’d love to share with you if you’re interested!
I honestly didn't expect anyone to read this on this small platform. However, I am nonetheless grateful that you like this little one-shot, even with its flaws. Original, I pland to maybe make this into a one-shot series following Malu around. Never got around to it though, since my ideas jump around like a wild kangaroo 😅 And yes of cause I would like to hear your idea! That's one of the best things of fanfictions developing ideas and being inspired 💡 To be honest this was also originally inspired by another fanfic on AO3 where Zuko turnes into the 'Blue Spirit' like a part-time gig.
