Thank you so much, Brennan! Just spent the past few hours starting on porting my fics over from AO3 (thank goodness, I keep HTML backups in .txt files, on my laptop).
I noticed that SquidgeWorld was offline, when I went to start porting, to both sites, this morning. I'm not really sure what's going on, over there, but I'm worried about it being another hacking from the same people that hacked AO3. So, please be careful! <3
And, just so you know, I don't plan on leaving here, nor SquidgeWorld, when AO3 comes back online! They both provide wonderful backup repositories, and places to write/save drafts, in the event of an outage. Given that we've had two major outages, for AO3, in the past 3-4 years, I think it's safe to say that it's wise to keep works in multiple places. And your site is no doubt going to be one of those valuable repositories, for usage. I plan on live-updating any fic rewrites I do, on here (I'm rewriting a few chapters of one of my fics), as well as updating as I go, for here and Squidge, once AO3 comes back online.
I may take you up on building my own archive, for my works! Then, I can keep my delisted fics, in some form, as well as any original works I'm working on. So, thanks for the plug!
You are so endlessly appreciated. Thank you so much for providing a safe space for us writers to continue our work! Much love, and many Kudos to you!
