"If you're gonna tell me I should only sleep with someone if I love them-"
"Uh, no, not gonna tell you that. That kind of thinking really messed me up."
Dawn glances over in surprise. "Really?"
"Really." Buffy pats Dawn's knee. "Love is good, don't get me wrong. But I don't want you to be all guilty and shamey about sex. I just want you to be safe and smart about it."
"I wasn't either. I'm sorry."
"You're allowed to be human." Buffy smiles. "I love you. I'm here for you. Be smarter next time."
Dawn snuggles close. "Got it."
