Chapter Text
“I've been looking so long at these pictures of you that I almost believe that they're real. I've been living so long with my pictures of you that I almost believe that the pictures are all I can feel.”
He stared at their picture for eleven long years.
They were so young and hopeful. They could do anything as long as they were together.
Then she left and life killed the dreams they dreamed.
His mother and ex-wife tried to get rid of the picture. He threatened them both with a fate worse than death if it was moved even an inch from where she placed on the dresser mirror after she kissed it.
When she left, he had no idea if she would ever come back. So many nameless, faceless women, including his ex-wife, went through that room.
When she did return he ran the scenario of how it would work. It was sign, a chance to do it better.
He did not do it better.
He fucked porn sluts and whores. He almost fucked his half-sister.
He gaslighted her the day after Donna was killed. He did force his life on her because he was too selfish to let her leave again so easily.
She tried to live his life after she returned. She almost died twice but still stayed because she actually loves him.
He’s not sure if he knows what love is. His only point of reference is the man who killed his father and a pit viper for a mother.
Maybe he should let her go, let her go live a happy life with someone where she’s not constantly worried about Irish car bombs, going to jail, dying, or them fucking porn sluts, and whores.
He won’t let her leave though, because pictures aren’t enough.
