Work Text:
Sefa knows that people will die because of her. Sefa knows that people are dying because of her. She should never have agreed to spy on the queen, but it is the one thing her father has ever asked of her – she has to do it. Sefa’s hands are shaking as she brings her queen dinner. Perhaps she will tell her tomorrow. Yes.
Except – “Sefa,” the queen asks, “are you alright?”
She should tell her the truth, tell her that Camelot’s enemies are stronger than ever. She doesn’t; simply smiles and replies, “I am fine, my lady. I am sorry, I don’t know what came over me.”
Tomorrow. She will tell her tomorrow, no matter the promises she has made to her father. He had barely kept in contact with her after Sefa’s mother had died. She had been alone for six months before he decided to use her, with her position as maidservant to the queen, to spy on Camelot and hand it over to Morgana Pendragon.
But tomorrow never comes.
