Summary
Nearly eight years after the apocalypse began, the United States is no longer a collection of isolated settlements fighting simply to survive. Roads are reopening. Railways stretch across continents. New governments are rising from the ashes of the old. Entire cultures have formed in the spaces history left behind.
As Buck, Eddie, and the generation that rebuilt the Southwest finally earn the peace they've spent years fighting for, Christopher Diaz finds himself stepping into a very different world than the one his parents inherited.
The apocalypse is no longer about surviving the end of the world.
It's about discovering what comes after.
