a day's repose

Summary

It gets tiring, doing the same things over and over and over andover.

A single wasted loop can't make anything worse.

(Set anywhere from Acts 2-4)

Notes

Just a lil thing I wrote. Might make something longer, might not. All I know is that Siffrin is a stress ball

a day's repose

You wake up in a grassy field.

Again.

What's the point of this. You're trapped here.

(there has to be a way out you have to find the answer there HAS TO BE AN ANSWER)

You're so tired. You don't remember how many times it's been.

You're taking too long. Mirabelle will be heading over, soon.

You don't want to follow the script. Just for a bit. A break.

You stand, and walk towards the trees. They're dense, and usually you wouldn't even try to go through them.

You walk a center room's length into the forest. You lay down. Maybe you'll sleep the loop away. Maybe something will click and you'll finally have an answer. Maybe you'll finally feel healthynormalalive.

The tuft of grass over there is calling you. You reach an arm out, grab some, and eat it. It doesn't really taste like anything but it's different so it's okay. It doesn't help.

You zone out. There's no conversation here, but it makes the time go by faster. You think you might even enter a light doze. Maybe. A very fine line, that is.

Night falls. You only notice because your eye hurts less.

(They really haven't looked for you? Of course not, why would they, you're not anyone important. You're a failure of a team member that couldn't even do their own job right, multiple times, and got yourself killed. You accidentally said the wrong food to Bonnie once and then immediately went to the banana. Can't even say a single word right. You're surprised they kept you around until this point.)

Everything is dark. You don't move. Suddenly, a crack. A giant rustling sound.

[A TREE CRUSHED YOUR BODY]

You wake up in a grassy field. Again.

Back to it, you suppose.
