After 10 minutes of making out Leorio leaned away from Kurapika's mouth and caught his breath. He put his hand on his belt.
"Well? Shall we repopulate the Kurta clan?"
Kurapika's eyes glowed to a furious scarlet. He shoved Leorio away.
"Shut your mouth Leorio. Do you think we are some sort of rare bird, able to be brought back with a careful breeding program? Will their agony be erased if we only replace them? Is the culture destroyed insignificant? Are we only defined by our blood and our eyes?"
Kurapika turned away. Leorio stood and put his hands up.
"I take it back. Forget I said that."
"I plan to as soon as possible."
Kurapika put his poncho back on and walked out. That didn't go well.
Kurapika avoided Leorio until the next morning, when he sat right next to him for breakfast. Leorio looked at him.
"Am I forgiven?"
"Yes. I've read that one should never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by stupidity. That principle has proven essential every day I spend with you, Leorio."
"Hey! You're exaggerating!"

2 days later Leorio was brushing his teeth when Kurapika walked in.
"These are all expired. I don't want to know why you bought so many at once."
Leorio saw that he was holding boxes of condoms, and spat toothpaste on the wall. He recovered and wiped it off.
"They were on clearance, but you had to buy in bulk. There was some sort of celebrity branding that really backfired. They could barely sell any."
Leorio started to rinse his mouth. Kurapika examined a box.
"I see. Wait, is that Gon's dad?"
Leorio spat water on the wall.
